This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Talbot was a sixth rate, 28-gun, ship.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 09-Oct-1824, 114ft long, 32ft wide and of 500 tons builders measurement. Armed with 20 x 32pdr, 6 x 18pdr carronades and 2 x 6pdr guns.

Used as a powder hulk from Feb-1855.

Sold 05-Mar-1896.

Won the Battle Honours: Navarino 1827 and Syria 1840.
