This the second ship to carry the name HMS Rochester was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 03-Aug-1749, 146ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,034 tons builders measurement.

Sold 03-Apr-1770.

Won the Battle Honours: Quiberon Bay 1759 and Martinique 1762.
