This the third ship to carry the name HMS Preston was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 07-Feb-1757, 143ft 6in long, 41ft 6in wide and of 1,044 tons builders measurement.

Converted to a sheer hulk Oct-1785.

Broken up Jan-1815 at Woolwich.

Won the battle Honours: St. Lucia 1778 and Dogger Bank 1781.
