HMS Phoebe (1795)  (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Phoebe was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built by Dudman of Deptford, launched 29-Sep-1795, 143ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 926 tons builders measurement.

Used as a slop ship from Oct-1826.

Sold 27-May-1841 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honours: 'Nereide' 1797, 'Africaine' 1801, Trafalgar 1805, Tamatave 1811, Java 1811 and 'Essex' 1814.
