This the second ship to carry the name HMS Orford was a third rate, 70-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford, launched 1698, 150ft 6in long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,051 tons builders measurement (bm).

Rebuilt at Limehouse 1713 as 1,099 tons bm.

Wrecked 14-Feb-1745 in the Gulf of Mexico.

Won the Battle Honours: Vigo 1702, Velez Malaga 1704 and Passero 1718.
