The second HMS Newcastle was a fourth rate 54-gun ship.

Built at Sheerness Dockyard, launched 24-Mar-1704, 130ft long, 34ft wide and of 676 tons builders measurement.

Took part in the defence of Gibraltar in 1705.

Rebuilt at Woolwich 1733.

Served until 1746 when she was broken up..

Won the Battle Honour: Marbella 1705.
