This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Meteor was a wooden paddle vessel.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 17-Feb-1824, 126ft long, 23ft wide and of 296 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Aug-1849 at Woolwich.
