HMS Mersey (1814)  (1st)
6th Rate 26-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Mersey was a 6th Rate, 26-gun ship.

Built by Courtney of Chester, launched Mar-1814, 108ft 6in long, 31ft wide and of 451 tons builders measurement. Armed with 8 x 12pdr carronades and 2 x 6pdr guns.

Used for harbour service from 1832.

Broken up Jul-1852.
