HMS Melampus (1892) CC  (3rd)

     
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Melampus was a 2ns Class Protected Cruiser.

Built by Vickers of Barrow, laid down 1889,launched 02-Aug-1890 and completed 1892.

On completion went into reserve at Portsmouth 1892-93, then served as Guard Ship at Kingstown 1893-1905. Then harbour service at Portsmouth 1905-10.

Sold 1910.
