HMS Liverpool (1741)  (1st)
5th Rate 44-gun

    
The first HMS Liverpool was a fifth rate frigate.

She was built by Okill, of Liverpool, launched 18-July-1741, 125ft long, 36ft wide, and of 681 tons builders measurement.

Originally called Enterprise but renamed Liverpool 20-Feb-1741.

She has an establishment of 44 guns and complement of 250.

After service off the coast of Spain and in the Mediterranean she was paid off at Woolwich and sold 14-Sep-1756 for £494. After this she became a privateer and her eventual fate is unknown.
