This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Lightning was an 18-gun, sloop.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 02-Jun-1829, 113ft 6in long, 31ft wide and of 463 tons builders measurement.

Renamed HMS Larne 12-Sep-1832.

Broken up at Charlton, Mar-1866.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
