This the second ship to carry the name HMS Jamaica was a
14-gun, sloop. Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 17-Jul-1744, 92ft long, 26ft wide and of 273 tons builders measurement. Foundered 17-Jan-1770 off Jamaica.
