This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Jackal was a 12-gun, gun-brig.

Built by Perry of Blackwall, launched 01-Apr-1801, 80ft long, 23ft wide and of 186 tons builders measurement. Armed with 2 x 18pdrguns and 10 x 18pdr carronades.

Captured 30-May-1805 by French after stranding near Calais.
