This the third ship to carry the name HMS Indefatigable was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 27-Jul-1848, 180ft long, 51ft 6in wide, of 2,044 tons builders measurement, and displacing 2,626 tons.

Armed with 28 x 8in and 22 x 32pdr guns.

Loaned as a training ship from 03-Jan-1865.

Sold 26-Mar-1914.
