This the second ship to carry the name HMS Hotspur was a fifth rate, 46-gun, ship.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 09-Oct-1828, 159ft long, 41ft wide and of 1,171 tons builders measurement.

Used as a chapel hulk from 1859. Renamed HMS Monmouth 1868.

Sold 1902.
