This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Hermes was a wooden steam packet, Originally HMS Courier.

Bought 20-Aug-1830, 155ft 6in long, 32ft 6in wide and of 733 tons builders measurement.

Renamed HMS Hermes 1831.

Renamed HMS Charger 1835 and used as a coal hulk.

Broken up Jun-1854.
