Wooden Screw Gunvessel 4-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Foxhound was a 4-gun, wooden screw gunvessel.

Built by Mare of Blackwall, launched 16-Aug-1856, 181ft 6in long, 28ft 6in wide, and of 681 tons builders measurement. Armed with 1 x 110pdr, 1 x 68pdr and 2 x 20pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Broken up Aug-1866.
