Gun-brig 12-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Fervent was a 12-gun, gun-brig.

Built by Adams of Bucklers Hard, launched 15-Dec-1804, 80ft long, 23ft wide and of 179 tons builders measurement. Armed with 10 x 18pdr carronades, and 2 x 18pdr guns.

Used as a mooring lighter at Portsmouth from Aug-1816.

Broken up 1879.

Won the Battle Honour: Basque Roads 1809.
