This the thirteenth ship to carry the name HMS Ferret was an
8-gun, brig. Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 01-Jun-1840, 95ft long, 30ft wide and of 358 tons builders measurement. Armed with 8 x 18pdr guns. Wrecked 29-Mar-1869 off Dover pier.
