HMS Exmouth (1903) BB  (2nd)

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Exmouth was one of six Duncan Class battleships.

Built by Laird, laid down Aug-1899, launched 31-Aug-1901 and completed Jun-1903.

She served initially in the Mediterranean Fleet from 1903-04, then Flagship of the Home Fleet until 1907. Back to the Mediterranean,  this time as Flagship from 1908-12.  Then a return to the Home Fleet for a short spell. A change came in 1913 when she was a gunnery training ship.
Joined the 6th Battle Squadron in 1914 and transferred to the Channel Fleet in November 1914  for the bombardment of the Belgian coast.
In May-1915 joined the Dardanelles force and remained in the Mediterranean until 1917 when she went into Reserve.

Sold 15-Jan-1920 and broken up in Holland 1922.

Won the Battle Honours: Belgian Coast 1914 and Dardanelles 1915.
