This the first ship to carry the name HMS Dundee was a small boarding vessel.

Awarded battle honour 'Leopard' 1917. On 16-Mar-1917 while patrolling north of the Shetland Islands, and while in company with HMS Achilles, intercepted the German raider 'Leopard' which was disguised as a merchant ship. During the attack the German ship continued firing until she sank with the loss of all crew.
