This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Duncan will be a Type
45, Daring Class Air Defence destroyer. Major sections are built by BAE and Vosper-Thorneycroft, then brought together and assembled at BAE Systems shipyard at Govan, Glasgow. Laid down 29-Feb-2008, launched 11-Oct-2010 and completed sea trials 04-Dec-2012. Final fitting out is being completed and projected to be handed over to the Royal Navy in the first quarter 2013.
