This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Diamond was a sixth rate, 28-gun ship.

Built at Sheerness Dockyard, launched 29-Aug-1848, 140ft long, 2ft wide and of 1.051 tons builders measurement.

Loaned as a training ship Apr-1866.

Renamed Joseph Straker 13-Jan-1868.

Sold Sep-1885.

Won the Battle Honour: Crimea 1854-55.
