This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Decoy was a D Class destroyer.

Built by Thornycroft of Woolston, laid down Jun-1931, launched 07-Jun-1932, and commissioned 04-Apr-1933.

Transferred to Canada 12-Apr-1943 and renamed Kootenay.

Sold 28-Jan-1946.

Won the Battle Honours: Mediterranean 1940, Calabria 1940, Greece 1941, Crete 1941, Libya 1941-42, Malta Convoys 1941-42 and Atlantic 1942.
