This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Curlew was a 3-gun, wooden screw gunvessel.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 20-Aug-1868, 170ft long, 29ft wide and of 665 tons builders measurement, displacing 805 tons. Armed with 1 x 7in and 2 x 40pdr guns.

Sold 07-Nov-1882.
