This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Crescent was a fifth rate, 36-gun ship.

Built by Calhoun & Newland of Bursledon, launched 28-Oct-1784, 137ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 888 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 06-Dec-1808 on the coast of Jutland.

Won the Battle Honours: 'Reunion' 1793 and Cape of Good Hope 1795.
