This the second ship to carry the name HMS Coventry was a fourth rate, 48-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 1695, and of 670 tons builders measurement.

Captured by the French off The Isles of Scilly, 24-Jul-1704, and recaptured 17-Mar-1709.

Broken up 1709.
