This the second ship to carry the name HMS Champion was an 18-gun, sloop.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 31-May-1824, 110ft long, 31ft wide and of 456 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from 1859.

Used as a target, then broken up at Portsmouth Oct-1867.

Won the Battle Honour: Burma 1824-26.
