HMS Campania (1944) CVE  (2nd)

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Campania was an escort aircraft carrier.

Built by Harland & Wolff, launched 17-Jun-1943, commissioned 07-Mar-1944, 510ft long, 70ft wide and displacing 12,450 tons. Armed with 2 x 4in and 16 x 20mm guns, and carried 15 aircraft.

Arrived at Hughes Bolckow, Blyth 11-Nov-1955 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1944, Arctic 1944-45 and Norway 1944-45.
