This the first ship to carry the name HMS Barrosa was a fifth
rate, 36-gun, ship. Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 21-Oct-1812, 145ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 947 tons builders measurement. Used for harbour service from 1823. Sold 27-May-1841.
