HMS Audacious (201?) SSN  (4th)

     
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Audacious is the fourth Astute Class nuclear powered attack submarine.

Construction began 2009 with the official keel laying ceremony taking place 24-Mar-2009. All pressure hull components are in the BAE Systems Dock Hall at Barrow and are being fitted out and joined together.

While constructed to the same design as earlier boats numerous detail changes as a result of  improvements identified during earlier construction and trials.

Projected launch and commissioning dates have not yet been announced.
