HMS Albion (1798) (2nd)

This the second HMS Albion was a ship-rigged sloop. An ex-merchant vessel
she was bought in 1798. Before this she had been hired by the Navy as an
Armed Ship, privately owned but with a Royal Navy crew.
She had a powerful close range armament of 22 carronades, and was a useful convoy escort. Sold in 1803. |
