This the second ship to carry the name HMS Vixen was a 6-gun, wooden paddle sloop.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 04-Feb-1841, 180ft long, 36ft wide and of 1,054 tons builders measurement. Armed with 1 x 110pdr, 1 x 10in and 4 x 32pdr guns.

Sold 12-Nov-1862.

Won the Battle Honour: China 1842.
