This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Scorpion was a river gunboat.

Built by White, launched 20-Dec-1937, 209ft long, 34ft 6in wide and displacing 670 tons. Armed with 2 x 4in guns and 1 x 3.7in howitzer.

Sunk in action 13-Feb-1942 by Japanese destroyers in Banka Strait.
