This the second ship to carry the name HMS Philomel was a
Cherokee Class, 10-gun, brig-sloop. Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 28-Apr-1823. Sold 12-Dec-1833. Won the Battle Honour: Navarino 1827.
