Wooden Screw Gunboat 2-gun

     
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Orwell was a Britomart class, 2 gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, laid down 24-Dec-1860, launched 27-Dec-1866 and completed Nov-1868.

Sold to the Customs Board 20-Dec-1890.
