This the second ship to carry the name HMS Mary Rose was a 39-gun, galleon.

Built 1556, and of 600 tons builders measurement (bm). Armed with 4 x 32pdr, 11 x 18pdr, 10 x 9pdr and 14 smaller guns.

Rebuilt 1589 as 495 tons bm.

Condemned and used 1618 as part of the wharf at Chatham.

Won the Battle Honours: Armada 1588 and Cadiz 1596.
