This the first ship to carry the name HMS Empress was a  tender.

Originally a War Department vessel, transferred to the Royal Navy 1906, 77ft long, 15ft 6in wide and of 100 tons.

Renamed HMS Heron 25-Nov-1906.

Sold 20-Sep-1923.
