This the sixth ship to bear the name HMS Cornwall is a Type 22
frigate, "stretched" approximately 17 m longer than the original
Broadsword Class. The first of the Batch 3 Type 22 frigates.
Built by Yarrow Shipbuilders, launched 14-Oct-1985 and commissioned at Falmouth, Cornwall in 1988. The Ship's Motto is: "Unus et Omnes - One and All"Decommissioned 01-Jul-2011, the last of her class to decommission.
