This the only ship to carry the name HMS Carnarvon was an
Armoured Cruiser. Built by Beardmore of Dalmuir, laid down 01-Oct-1902, launched 07-Oct-1903 and completed 29-May-1905. On completion went to the Mediterranean 1905-07. Joined the Atlantic Fleet 1907-09, the 3rd Fleet 1909-11 and 2nd Fleet 1912-14. To the Mid Atlantic Fleet 1914. Then the South Atlantic 1914-16 when she struck a shoal off Brazil Feb-1915, and was repaired at Rio de Janeiro. To the America & West Indies Station 1915-18. Used as Cadets Training Ship 1919-21. Sold 1921. Won the Battle Honour: Falkland Islands 1914.
