This the third ship to carry the name HMS Birmingham was the
second, batch 1, Type 42, destroyer.
Built by Cammell Laird, and launched 30-Jul-1973. Appeared at the Silver Jubilee Review 1977. Paid off 10-Dec-1999, towed 20-10-2000 from Portsmouth to Spain for breaking up.
