HMS Achille (1798)  (4th)

This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Achille was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Cleveley of Gravesend, launched 16-Apr-1798, 184ft long, 50ft 6in wide and of 1,981 tons builders measurement.

Fought at the battle of Trafalgar where she suffered light damage with 13 of her crew killed and 59 wounded. (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Sold Nov-1865.

Won the Battle Honour: Trafalgar 1805.
